Day 3: Maggie Square!

Sorry I'm posting so late...we had a rough morning and I had to run to work so I couldn't get this beautiful square up!

This is 'Maggie Square' by Drew!

I had not one problem with this square and I would most defiantly make it again. I did forget to do back loop only on a couple of rows, which was a shame because I really like the effect it has on a row. I am a lazy crocheter and didn't go back and fix the...mostly because this blanket will live the rest of its life on my living room sofa, so I don't see the need for perfection on things I make for my own family...sorry family!

I do want to take a moment and remind everyone to leave extra chain spaces in the corners of the last row! I have started attaching the squares that I've done and now realize just how important it is to leave at least 2 chain spaces in each corner. The method I suggest using requires you to do 2 dc clusters in each corner and you need room to do that. Just a suggestion!

  1. Love the change in color. I also didn't leave the chain two spaces. I think I'm going to have to go back and do a sc row with the spaces. I enjoyed the xDc which I had never done before and it reminded me how simple and easy it is to change the look of something by back looping or front looping! Good pattern.
