Day 17: Lemony Lime Square!

So, I think I'm getting sick!

A super busy week at work where I have to work late 4 of the 5 days and I'm getting sick. I hate those days when you wish you could be at home with a cup of tea and a warm (handmade!!!) blanket but instead your doing work. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and the youth I work with but when you are not feeling good all you want is to be at home watching a movie and crocheting....Thank goodness for the long weekend that is fast (but never fast enough) approaching!

Anyways, here is the square for today!

This is Lemony Lime by Donna!

Really fun simple pattern that I will do again for sure!

I don't know about you all, but crocheting has become a real grounding point to me! When I'm stressed, upset, tired, happy, excited or wanting to show someone I love just how much I love them, I crochet. I make things that are simple and fun or sometimes complex and confusing but every pattern I've ever worked on taught me something and I am so glad for the lovely people who take the time to write down that patterns they create so we can make them too.

I hope you all enjoy this square and I can't wait to see your work,
m

  1. I agree that crocheting is very grounding. I feel blessed that someone showed me the basics way back in high school.

  2. pretty square! Crochet helps my stress big time too, I'm so glad that I took the time to learn it or I'd probably be bald now lol

  3. For me crochet is really therapy, Counting chains and stitches and following diagrams really takes my mind of any trouble whatsoever.
Loved this one, I am still struggling with no 2.

  5. Melissa, I hope you feel better soon! Your square is super pretty. I haven't started on mine for today yet, but I'm sure I will enjoy this pattern.

You've basically described how I feel about crochet, too! :)

  6. Thanks for sharing everyone!

I know I work out a lot of emotions while I'm crocheting and its good to hear that others have found the art of it all beneficial!
